Vance Preman has a strong commitment to public service. Early in his career he was an intern in the Jackson County, Missouri Prosecutor’s Office.

While still a student he participated in prosecution of felony cases.

Later he became a Special Assistant Public Defender for the 16th Judicial Circuit.

He continues with this strong commitment being an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Missouri-Kansas City Law School; serving on the Board of Zoning Adjusters for Johnson County, Kansas; the South Metro Study group Citizen’s Academy for the Johnson County Sheriff; works with the Johnson County Bar.

Vance has for many years Participated in Habitat for Humanity.
